Troy Jollimore

Troy Jollimore is a professor in the philosophy department at California State University, Chico. His most recent collection of poetry is At Lake Scugog (Princeton Series of Contemporary Poets, 2011). His first collection, Tom Thomson in Purgatory, won the National Book Critics Circle Award for poetry in 2006. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Poetry, Ploughshares, The Washington Post, Exile Quarterly, and elsewhere.

He was the Outstanding Professor at CSU Chico in 2009-2010, and has been the recipient of fellowships from Bread Loaf and the Stanford Humanities Center. His philosophical books include Love’s Vision (Princeton, 2011) and On Loyalty (Routledge, 2012).
